In all honesty my ambition to blog concerning the events of my week is next to nil. But I will write enough to let you know that I’ve been enjoying my time here. We had a church picnic on Sunday. I worked a lot last week. The pressure has been off this week. I’ve read half-way through Genesis by now, among other smaller projects. I need to read more Edwards this evening.
My lack of passion in updating my blog has been caused by (at least) two things: first, my passion for more formal writing has been taking me captive recently; and second, I don’t have many things to say that would be interesting to someone away from Annapolis. My life isn’t boring, surely, but the most exciting things that have happened are not the things that I would want to write about on the Internet. My time with God has been rewarding, and I have learned more about myself this summer than ever before (the good, the bad, and the really ugly); most of the topics revolving around such self-discovery are not to be casually treated, in my simple opinion.
A warning: most of my updates for the remainder of the summer will probably be philosophical or contemplative, not anecdotal. Maybe this is a temporary funk that I’ll snap out of when I return from India with lots of exciting and fun stories to tell. I don’t think my day-to-day life is mundane, and I hope you don’t either, but I don’t want to tell stories for the sake of storytelling. I want to tell stories to bless people when the opportunities come.
With that said, I’ll be off-line for a few days, methinks, to do some reading and reflection. Toodles.

Well, if you're not going to blog for the sake of blogging, then you have to email your mother more :-)
