Weekend Workout

Yesterday evening I did my “Dartmouth,” one of Pickens’s favorite workouts—thirty minutes of rowing, thirty minutes of jogging, and thirty more minutes of rowing. It felt really nice afterward, but I was beat. This weekend was an example of a considerable loss of self-control and discipline. I’d stayed up way too late on Friday evening, late on Saturday, and rose early on Sunday. Then I, in essence, rowed over 13 kilometers and jogged a little less than three miles on Sunday evening in the midst of writing a paper and reading this chunk of Thucydides. Feels great. Paper’s done. Workout’s checked off. Thucydides is slowly being chipped away.
On that note, I need to spend the next four hours in that book.

Be blessed. Be at peace. Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
