I’m off to a concert tonight. Ethan is playing with his trio at our Collegium celebration. It should be good. He’s an excellent pianist. I’ve actually heard him play this piece before—Mendelssohn’s “Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor.” It’s a neat piece. One of the tutors plays cello and another freshman, Ariel, rounds out the group with his violin.
Things are getting a little strange here. I have no work to do. Most schools have hectic weeks at the end when students are cramming for finals or writing midterms. We have most of the week off for the upperclassmen’s don rags. I had one class today. I’ll have one tomorrow, and that’s my last tutorial. Thursday night’s seminar on the last half of Symposium will close out the semester. I don’t know what to do with myself. I read Ephesians on Sunday and James on Monday. I think I hear First Peter calling my name tonight. I don’t know if excessive reading will be a good thing or a bad one over break.
I’ve now been informed that a small reception will await me in Rochester on Friday. A few of my friends from Bath are coming up with Abby and we’ll meet Eric and Ariele at their dorms for a quick reunion.
There’s more that I want to write now, but I need to be off. We’ll see if I get to it later tonight.
