I’m in once again. My daddy sent my phone down through the mail. Hurray!
Tonight will be a good night. I need to buckle down and read about five hours of Thucydides. It’s touch stuff. I’ll be brief because I need to get to work.
I went to the bank today and deposited some money from work (praise Jesus). I noticed that Tim was inside at the counter. I wasn’t going to say anything. I figured I’d let him do his business and then call him when I got my phone. I put my card in and started plugging away at the machine and suddenly this deep voice from behind mumbled in my ear, “Gimme all yer money.” There was something poking into my side.
Not for a moment did panic enter my mind. Momentary confusion, yes, but not panic. Besides, Tim was nearby. He would beat the guy up.
But no, Tim wouldn’t beat this guy up. He wouldn’t because the guy was Tim himself poking my side with his index finger and stooping over me. Of course. I knew it all along. Good joke. Good story. Heh, heh.

Have you read St. Augustine?
Not yet. We read Augustine’s Confessions next fall among some other smaller works.
