No more Personal Essay workshop. I must admit that it feels good to be done with it. It was worth my time, but not more time than what has been spent now. It will be nice to have free Tuesday nights for the remainder of the semester (year). Two hours in the middle of my week, with reading to do ahead of time, was a bit more than I was really ready for. If I sign up for any other extracurricular courses in the upcoming semesters I rather think I’ll aim for a fine arts class—something without adding more reading to my workload.
I’m sitting up typing now as I wait for Ethan and Jesse to finish their movie. While I was out working on some embryology with Jonathan, they started watching a James Bond movie. I think it’s nearly done. I heard the car chase end a little while ago, so they must be near the ultimate climax.
I’m one very tired guy. I finished my Driesch and Spemann readings for embryology. Very cool. For a moment I wanted to be a biologist, and then I came back to reality. There were some great quotes from these two, who concentrated as much on philosophy of science as on empirical science. I’ll post those when I’m not so bleary-eyed and sleepy.
Adieu. Goodnight.
