Johnnie-ball

I played football today. To be more accurate, I will at all times hereafter refer to St. John’s College football as “Johnnie-ball,” because its semblance to American football is limited. To be concise about describing it, try to imagine team handball, rugby, ultimate Frisbee, and American football all mashed into one game. Regardless of whether you understand it or not, I had fun.
Because of the nature of my surname I was automatically assigned to be on the Druids’ intramural team for this school year. And I’m thrilled to report that the Druids shamed the Spartans in a decisive 35-6 victory. Hurray for us.

I’ll type up some more intellectual items tomorrow after I finish my seminar reading tonight.
